Job Summary:
The Financial Operations Manager oversees monthly accounting and finance activities related to business operations for their division and will supervise the month-end close process and oversee the preparation of monthly operating reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets. This role could require up to 25% travel and will be Hybrid based out of our Franklin, Tn location.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists in the day-to-day operations of accounting and finance in a fast-paced growing healthcare environment. Provides support to the Ops team so they can make timely, impactful decisions (using daily, weekly & monthly data where applicable). Develops action plans, proposes efficiency improvements, and identifies opportunities for cost reductions for their division. Performs regular analysis of business outcomes vs prior period actuals and budget (daily, weekly, monthly & annually). Oversees the month-end close process and leads the accounting team to provide accurate and timely data. Oversees the preparation and review of forecasts, budgets, financial statements and other ad hoc reporting requests. Supervises and mentors accounting staff and seniors, including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training programs, and identifying training needs. Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Assists in the planning and implementation of various business processes to improve business processes and activities.
COMPETENCIES
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel formulas (XLookup, pivot tables, ad hoc financial modeling) Familiarity with PowerBI and other FP&A software’s a plus Familiarity with general ledger / accounting software (experience with Sage Intacct is a plus) Strong problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to have difficult conversations with teammates as needed Ability to use technology to collect, manipulate data, determine significant findings, and clearly present information Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while maintaining accountability under strict deadlines
