JWBK213 Banking Operations We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join our Banking Operations team. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our back-office operations, with a focus on loan and deposit account maintenance, ACH processing, Jack Henry/AS400 entries, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of multitasking between operations and internal customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and maintain loan information in bank systems, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.
Check Discrepancy & Non-Post Transactions:
Investigate and resolve transaction exceptions and errors.
ACH Processing:
Monitor daily ACH transactions, post entries, reconcile discrepancies, and manage exceptions.
Internal Customer Service:
Provide timely support to account officers regarding operational inquiries and requests.
Account Maintenance:
Execute manual entries, open and maintain deposit and loan accounts via internal systems.
Credit Card Reconciliation:
Reconcile OSAB credit card activity and resolve issues.
Interest Rate Updates:
Input manual interest rate changes in accordance with policy.
Payment Processing:
Post all types of payment transactions and resolve related discrepancies. General Ledger (GL)
Management:
Perform daily/monthly reconciliations and post manual journal entries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (or equivalent experience). 1+ years in banking operations or back-office roles. Strong familiarity with account opening, maintenance, payments, ACH, and GL functions. Proficiency with Jack Henry AS400, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and banking software.
