Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting tasks including A/R, A/P, invoicing, and bank reconciliations Organize and maintain the general ledger Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes Generate timely financial reports and dashboards to assist management in decision-making Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations Work closely with operations and sales teams to ensure accurate job costing and revenue recognition Maintain up-to-date records in QuickBooks and integration with freight software platforms Monitor customer aging and vendor payables, and handle follow-ups as needed Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Collaborate with external accountants or auditors as necessary
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry Strong knowledge of QuickBooks (Online andDesktop) Familiarity with Magaya or other freight forwarding management systems is a strong plus Solid understanding of financial reporting, cash flow, and profitability metrics Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting best practices High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in small to mid-sized companies Knowledge of international shipping processes and logistics terminology
