Job Summary:
As a Regional Financial Reporting Specialist , you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports, analyzing financial data, and supporting the enterprise planning tool (TM1) for the Latin America Region. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with financial reporting, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and compile financial reports, including profit and loss statements (P&Ls), for the Quarterly Forecast Cycles (two per quarter), Annual Operating Plan Cycle , Annual Strategic Plan Cycle and monthly end close. Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams across the LatAm region to gather and assess financial data from multiple countries and business units and sources. Maintain financial models up to date in planning tool, to support forecasting, planning, and decision-making processes. Collaborate with IT consultants to ensure the effective performance of planning tool and support developments/improvements to the planning tool (TM1). Process and consolidate data feeds from various sources, including Reinsurance, Actuarial, and Amortization data, to ensure accuracy in reporting. Execute quality control measures to maintain data integrity, including checks for data mismatches and currency exchange accuracy. Provide training to users on financial reporting tool and processes to ensure optimized usage and understanding. Develop user-friendly templates and dashboards in Qliksense and PowerBI that enhance reporting clarity and visibility. Identify opportunities for process optimization within financial reporting procedures, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports. Streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting procedures to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial information. Participate in special projects as needed, offering insights and financial expertise to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, or a related field, preferably in a multinational environment. Proficient in financial modeling and analysis, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, PowerPivot, INDEX/MATCH, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, VBA) Experience with database management (e.g., SQL, Access) desired. Familiarity with reporting and BI tools such as TM1, QlikView, Power BI, Alteryx, or equivalent is preferred. Fluency in English and Spanish is required; knowledge of Portuguese is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid work setting. Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
