Finance & Accounting Implementation Specialist Position Available In Orleans, Louisiana

Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking a Finance & Accounting Implementation Specialist to join the Controllers department. The Finance & Accounting Implementation Specialist will be responsible for working with the Latin American and Caribbean offices on the implementation of the Workday Finance Accounting system. The incumbent must be bilingual in Spanish and English and be located near the New Orleans, LA office location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Learn Key Workday Functions of Various Corporate Accounting Roles and Assist with the Training of Local Country Accountants on Those Roles as part of the Workday Finance Project Implementation, in a Phased Approach to the Countries Work with Home Office (New Orleans, LA) corporate accountants to review documentation of their Workday functions and translate into Spanish if necessary Schedule training meetings with local country accountants Assist with Workday Finance training of local country accountants Assist Local Country Accounting Teams with Targeted User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as part of the Workday Finance Project Implementation, in a Phased Approach to the Countries Lead UAT with local country accountants Document test scenarios and results Review test results with Workday Finance Implementation Project Core team Provide Support for Local Country Accountants after Workday Finance Go-Live Respond to inquiries from local country accounting teams after Workday Finance Go-Live Work with Workday Finance Center of Excellence (COE) and Systems Accounting as needed

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required Bilingual skills in Spanish and English required 1 to 2 years of accounting experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

(KSA’s): Knowledge of or ability to learn and use company financial systems and modules Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications, including Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word Knowledge of Workday preferred Excellent verbal and writing skills in English and Spanish Ability to interact with all levels of company personnel Ability to work with little or no supervision from immediate supervisor (self-motivator)
