Summary:

Financial Clearance Specialist performs all necessary front-end revenue cycle functions prior to service to ensure timely financial clearance for patient accounts. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) EducationHigh school graduate or equivalent (GED) required. Associate degree preferred.

License/Certifications:

N/A

Experience:

Two (2) or more years of equivalent work experience in a hospital, medical office/clinic, or insurance company required

Additional Skills/Requirements Required:

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations

Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:

Demonstrated knowledge of insurance eligibility, financial clearance and insurance authorization. Prior experience with

EPIC EMR

preferred.
