Job Description
We have an opening for a role that combines responsibilities in finance operations and financial reporting while offering a dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute to transformation initiatives and process improvements. About the Role In this role you will support general ledger closing, regulatory compliance, and payment operations, while also collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial processes as well as improve upon them. Finance Operations Address and resolve issues and inquiries related to accounts payable and receivable processes.
Review and approve the opening of new client bank accounts.
Oversee checks requiring special handling, process stop payments and investigate returned checks.
Monitor ACH and wire returns for
IRS 1099
reporting.
Ensure accurate receipt and deposit of incoming payments and conduct searches for unclaimed property and recover funds. Compliance Reporting Analyze and organize data for internal and external reporting purposes.
Prepare and file primary lead International/Province/State/Local premium tax returns, data calls, surcharge reports, guaranty fund payments.
Track related accruals, premium tax refunds and credits.
Prepare related account reconciliations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, insurance regulators and related agencies regarding required filings.
Register and craft reporting for new jurisdictions. About You You are a self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities. You bring strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills and thrive working in a global, multicultural environment.
Additional requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
3-6 years of experience in finance operations and/or reporting.
Experience in accounts payable/receivable, insurance, and regulatory compliance.
Professional certifications (CPA, CA, ACCA) or MBA preferred.
Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and statutory reporting standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Familiarity with automation tools (Power BI, RPA, Python) is a plus. The estimated base salary range for this position is $84,000 to $138,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
