Director of Student Accounts Position Available In Rowan, North Carolina

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in the education sector at a university. The role involves overseeing the student billing and accounts receivable function, as well as managing a team responsible for student account accuracy and policy enforcement.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the student billing and accounts receivable function within the education institution.
• Manage all tuition and fee processing, collections, cash controls, and financial aid refund compliance.
• Lead a team ensuring student account accuracy, policy enforcement, and high-volume customer service.
• Collaborate with finance, financial aid, and registrar teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Play a crucial role in audits, reconciliations, and compliance with federal and state regulations, including Title IV.
• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Annual Budget, Auditing, Budget Processes, Ellucian Banner, Accounts Receivable (AR), Compliance, Month End Close. Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, with the ability to oversee and manage these operations effectively.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing an Annual Budget, including forecasting and financial planning.
• Familiarity with Auditing processes, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Knowledge of Budget Processes, with the ability to implement and monitor budgetary controls.
• Proficiency in using Ellucian Banner or similar higher education ERP systems, for efficient management of student accounts.
• Ability to ensure Compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and promote a culture of ethical conduct.
• Experience in managing Month End Close procedures, including reconciliation of accounts, generation of financial statements, and investigation of any discrepancies.
