Fiscal Technician Position Available In Mercer, New Jersey

Mercerville, NJ Preferred Education/Experience:

Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or (2) years’ of professional experience in the collection, analysis, evaluation, and presentation of financial data for a private or government organization; or 2 years’ experience with bank or account reconciliation .

Accounting Knowledge:

Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements (especially balance individual accounts).

Banking Processes:

Familiarity with bank transactions, statements, and reconciliation procedures. Attention to

Detail:

Ability to identify discrepancies and reconcile differences between bank records and internal financial records.

Analytical Skills:

Capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and interpret financial information accurately (especially for individual accounts).

Software Proficiency:

proficiency in using spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) for data manipulation and analysis.

Problem-Solving Ability:

Capability to investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to bank transactions and financial records (for individual accounts).

Communication Skills:

Clear communication to liaise with bank representatives, colleagues, and possibly auditors to resolve issues or provide explanations.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines, especially during month-end or year-end financial close processes.

Integrity and Ethics:

Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality in handling financial data, transactions and confidential information.

Adaptability:

Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in banking regulations, accounting standards, or software updates and department changes affecting reconciliation processes.
