Summary:
Responsible foranalyzing financial information and prepare financial reports todetermine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit andloss, tax liability, or other financial activities within anorganization.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare, examine or analyzeaccounting records, financial statements or other financial reportsto assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting andprocedural standards. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets,preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actualcosts. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping andaccounting systems. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns,ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other taxrequirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Verbal andwritten communication skills. Attention to detail. Criticalthinking. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work asneeded. Ability to analyze business trends and project futurerevenues and expenses preferred. Knowledge of legal and companypolicies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as MicrosoftWord, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accountingsoftware.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting orrelated financial discipline required. An advanced degree in afinancial discipline is preferred. 5•7 years financial and/oraccounting experience required.
