FINANCE SPECIALIST BASIC SUMMARY
The Finance Specialist is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records.
- Perform accounting and control functions for various balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare financial reports required by the company, its external auditors, and other regulatory authorities.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts.
- Provide support in the areas of Asset Liability Management and collateralized deposit accounts.
- Responsible for the effective management, support, and optimization of software applications used by the finance department.
- Comply with Code of Ethics standards and all applicable bank compliance laws and regulations.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Experience:
Two to four years of finance related experience preferred
Other:
Must have demonstrated skills in: customer service, attention to detail, general finance and accounting skills, verbal communication, integrity, people skills, thoroughness and documentation. Must be able to learn new software quickly. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required.
