JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Reporting Manager is ahighly effective, results oriented individual with proven abilityto lead others toward the successful attainment of objectives. TheManager is responsible for the SEC reporting function, includingthe preparation and submission of SEC filings and earnings releasematerials; performing technical accounting research and policydevelopment; and partnering with and advising business lines andother corporate functions on accounting and reporting matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Lead the preparation and timely submission of the 10-Q, 10-K,earnings releases, and related SEC filings, as well astransactional filings, registration statements, and other SECfilings as required Research complex accounting and reporting issues and analyzefinancial statements and disclosures to ensure proper applicationof GAAP Serve as a liaison with internal and external auditors andregulators during audits, reviews, and examinations Manage financial systems, data quality, and data accessibilityand coordinate with business lines and accounting teams to ensuretimely and accurate deliverables to support accurate and timelyreporting Implement and monitor process improvements to manage andstreamline SEC reporting activities and create and efficient andeffective reporting process Develop and maintain significant accounting policies, ensuringcompliance with GAAP and consistent application across businessunits Maintain strong knowledge of
GAAP, SEC
rules and emergingissues and clearly communicate potential changes and impacts tosenior management and business lines Maintain effective control over financial reporting and ensureSarbanes Oxley requirements are met Advise the finance, accounting, and business line functions inevaluating complex issues, transactions, and strategic initiatives,including mergers and acquisitions, and other financial accountingand reporting matters Prepare ad hoc reports, financial analyses and participate inspecial projects

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting Licensed CPA 7+ years’ experience in public accounting (audit backgroundwithin financial services) and/or accounting/SEC reporting within alarge public corporation Previous banking/financial services experience, with strongknowledge of banking products and services and accounting andpresentation issues relevant to the industry Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements andcurrent accounting and financial reporting practices Experience with Workiva/Wdesk preferred Strong technical writing skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates sound professional judgment using analytical andproblem-solving skills Process improvement oriented with the ability to balancemultiple projects and deadlines The Statements above are intended to describe the general natureand level of work being performed by people assigned to thisposition.
