Financial Reporting Manager $100,000 – $130,000 Downtown,Orlando, FL About the Company & the Financial Reporting ManagerRole Our client, a dynamic, community-focused organizationdedicated to enhancing the quality of life in a vibrant, growingmetropolitan area is looking for a Financial Reporting Manageroversee complex financial reporting processes, supervise a team ofprofessionals, and drive the development and implementation ofaccounting systems to meet organizational needs. Key Responsibilities for theFinancial Reporting Manager Oversee the preparation and issuance ofcomprehensive financial statements and reports Supervise a smallteam of professional and technical staff, planning and assigningwork to ensure accurate financial data recording and reporting.

Monitor and analyze revenues, expenditures, fund balances forcomplex funds to ensure compliance. Design, develop, and implementaccounting systems, procedures, and forms to meet management andregulatory requirements. The Financial Reporting Manager reconcilesaccounts, resolves discrepancies, and prepares financial andstatistical reports. Provide technical guidance and training toother departments on fiscal matters, reporting requirements, andaccounting policies. Act as a liaison with external auditors,coordinating audit requests and implementing audit recommendations.

Review and approve monthly tax reporting ensuring accuracy andcompliance. Conduct research and provide management with insightsto evaluate the organization’s financial position and complianceobligations. Qualifications for the Financial Reporting ManagerBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a closely related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required or must beobtained within one year of hire; Certified Management Accountant(CMA) preferred. 4 years of progressively responsible experience inaccounting, financial reporting, or auditing, with at least 3 yearsin a governmental entity and 2 years in a supervisory role.

Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP) Strong understanding of automated accounting systems andproficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Provenability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, anddevelop solutions to fiscal challenges. Excellent leadership andcommunication skills, with the ability to foster effective workingrelationships with team members, city officials, and externalstakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities, performdetailed work accurately, and maintain complex financial records.
