JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Financial Reporting leads the Company’s SEC reporting process and ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements. This role partners cross-functionally with corporate and segment finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial disclosures. The ideal candidate is a seasoned accounting professional with strong technical acumen, preferably with Big 4 public accounting experience and a focus on public company clients. This is a high-visibility role ideal for a motivated professional looking to make a strategic impact.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements. Oversee the preparation of financial statement disclosures and related supporting documentation. Research and interpret new and existing accounting standards and apply appropriate GAAP treatment to complex transactions. Collaborate with internal and external auditors and manage the financial reporting timeline and deliverables. Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and support SOX compliance activities. Assist in the preparation of Board and Audit Committee materials. Support month-end and quarter-end close activities in coordination with corporate and segment accounting teams. Drive continuous improvement in the external reporting process, including automation, efficiency gains, and reporting accuracy. Special projects and other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA certification required Minimum of 5+ years of experience, preferably with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
PREFERRED QUALFICATIONS
