JOB SUMMARY

The primary focus of a Commercial Banker is to leverage theirtalents and passion in connecting business owners and communityleaders to drive growth and economic prosperity. Collaborate withline of business partners to drive the successful development andadministration of the client’s entire relationship with Seacoast.

Examine, evaluate, authorize and recommend approval of customerapplications for commercial loans. Manage regional credit issuesincluding portfolio administration and sales efforts. Active in thecommunity in support and promotion of the bank. Responsible foroverall profitability and achieving sales goals across all productlines. Consistently gains the confidence and trust of othersthrough honesty, integrity, and authenticity.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics,Finance or related major, required. 5+ year’s related experience in business development, businessanalytics and diagnosis obtained through commercial lending salesand portfolio management. 2+ year’s financial services experience in relatedbusiness-lines that developed/served business client relationships;including: Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and ConsumerBanking. Demonstrated record of relationship building with business,civic and governmental organizations. Currently established withinthe market, where reputation and followership is in place.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Attends to the needs of customers seeking financialservices. Interviews customers and prospects to develop informationconcerning their businesses or personal needs, desires, abilities,and earnings to determine strategy or other financial services asappropriate. Makes decisions on loans and terms within own lending limits,or makes recommendations on significant loans to the CommercialBanking Executive. Refers business to other officers, as appropriate, to meetcustomer needs. Responsible for developing and maintaining a book ofbusiness. Actively engages with Line of Business Partners to identifyreferral business to expand and deepen existing customerrelationships. Collaborates with Line of Business Partners to promote andposition the Bank in the community. Assumes total responsibility for on-going monitoring of allassigned accounts relative to customary portfolio management whichincludes, but not limited to: On-going understanding of changes in the loan riskprofile. Monitoring borrowers’ compliance to the loandocuments. Obtaining and reviewing any required documentation or reportsin a timely fashion. Monitoring loan payments. Performs annual reviews on a regular basis. Studies industrial, commercial and financial situationsrelating to new and existing businesses. Identification and reporting of problem credits to director orManager. Coordinates problem loan administration with Commercial BankingDirector or Manager, line of Business Executive or Special AssetsAdministrator. Adheres to the highest legal and ethical standards applicableto our industry and to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct, whileobserving both the spirit and letter of all government regulationsand laws, and bank policies and procedures. Ensure adherence to AML/BSA requirements, audit procedures,dual control, security, Business Continuity, and all otherregulated banking requirements. Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.
