Job Description:
- The company is looking for a New Business Intake Specialist for its downtown office.
Senior level position performs conflict searches, assists in the opening and finalization of new business, and interacts with New Business Intake team and assists attorneys and staff throughout the Firm. Assists in the training of New Business Intake staff and Legal Administrative Assistants on opening paperwork and engagement letters. Reports directly to the Director of New Business Intake and New Business Intake Managers
- The New Business Intake Specialist will be responsible for using uniform criteria, standards, and procedures to open new matters and assist in the efficient operation of the New Business Intake Department
- Review new matter intake requests for correctness and completion
- Follow up on incomplete or incorrect new matter memos
- Analyze engagement letters, scope letters, and waivers
- Adhere to all Firm and department policies and procedures related to opening new matters
- Assist in training Legal Administrative Assistants, Conflicts Coordinators, and Conflicts Specialists in the new business intake process
- New Business Intake Specialist, as needed, will assist in processing, analyzing, and determining existing or potential conflicts for new matters brought into the
