Job Summary We are seeking a commercial relationship manager with strong relationships in Bradenton, Florida to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing commercial banking relationships, driving business growth (deposits and loans), providing strategic financial solutions to clients, and serving as team lead. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong leadership skills, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of commercial banking products and services. Responsibilities and Duties Develops, builds and maintains strong depository and loan relationships with commercial clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored banking solutions. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding Cogent Bank’s presence in the community. Offer expert guidance on lending, treasury management, and other financial services to help clients achieve their business goals. Oversee a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring profitability, risk mitigation, and long-term success. Collaborate with internal teams to introduce clients to additional banking products and services. Leads team of relationship managers to ensure success in meeting and exceeding goals Demonstrate leadership by mentoring team members, contributing to strategic initiatives, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Represent Cogent Bank at networking events, industry conferences, and community initiatives to strengthen brand presence. Ensures BSA compliance by reading and being familiar with the BSA/AML program/policy; following all
BSA/AML/OFAC
policies and procedures; and completing all
BSA/AML/OFAC
related online courses. All other tasks, responsibilities, or duties, as directed by management. Qualifications And Skills Minimum five years in commercial banking, relationship management, or financial services. Strong ability to influence, mentor, and drive initiatives. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams. Proficiency in financial analysis, credit assessment, and risk management. Passion for supporting local businesses and contributing to community growth. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (MBA preferred but not required.
