SUMMARY :

The Premier proposition is a strategic priority for Grove Bank and Trust and the role of Premier Banker is a key business development role in the achievement of proposition objectives. This position is responsible for acquiring new depository and loan relationships as specified within the premier banking target market profile. Actively prospects with other line-of-business partners for the growth of client relationships and/or contribute to organizational growth objectives. Delivers a high quality service to our highest value clients. Provides personalized full-service banking to affluent and/or high-net worth clients including, deposit-related services, extending credit, providing both financial and wealth management banking solutions, and continuous acknowledgement of client awareness of bank products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

First point of contact for our highest value clients. Delivers and maintains all high quality service expectations and retains existing client relationships by proactively handling client inquiries in a positive, timely and appropriate manner. Actively sources new business opportunities and maintains at least 8 new business appointments weekly. Focuses on prospecting affluent and/or high-net worth depository, loan, and wealth management relationships. Develops sales plans to achieve expected production results ($12MM to $25MM annually). Documents and maintains sales pipeline and new business call reports. Report weekly activities, accomplishments, and opportunities through team and management interactions. Participates in client presentations and collaborates with line-of-business partners to solicit and build center-of—influence contacts and referral sources. Maintains an active presence in the community. Executes strategic marketing action plans and participates in community relations that align with premier banking target market, while maintaining a positive and professional image of the bank. Adheres to and complies with all bank policies, procedures, and related BSA/KYC Compliance programs and internal controls. Performs other related duties as required.

EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or business related discipline and/or seven years of bank related experience within private banking or working with high-net worth clients; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven business development skills and results within market community. Knowledge and understanding of BSA/AML, KYC, and other bank policies and procedures. Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a deadline-intensive work environment. Ensures delivery of high quality client experience and needs-based solutions through effective communication, influencing, and sales skills. Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. All candidates for hire will undergo a credit and criminal background check.
