As a Collection Agent, you will be responsible for managing accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Your role will be crucial in helping our organization maintain financial health while providing exceptional service to our customers. Duties Contact clients via phone and email to collect outstanding payments on accounts. Utilize effective phone etiquette to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in the accounting software. Perform account reconciliation to ensure all payments are correctly applied. Educate clients on financial concepts related to their accounts and payment options. Handle medical collections with sensitivity and professionalism, adhering to relevant regulations. Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for improving collection rates. Follow up on overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving disputes promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service, telemarketing, or medical collection preferred. Familiarity with coding and financial concepts is a plus. Strong math skills for accurate account management and reconciliation. Proficient in using accounting software for tracking collections and payments. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.
