Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Member Service Representative to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional service to credit union members while handling a variety of banking transactions and inquiries. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within the banking industry.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing member inquiries and assisting with financial transactions.
- Perform routine banking tasks, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries with precision.
- Open new accounts and guide members through available credit union services, such as electronic banking and debit cards.
- Handle loan-related activities, including accepting applications, processing requests, and disbursing approved loans.
- Manage cash handling duties, ensuring accuracy in transactions and maintaining vault teller functions.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies.
- Process debit card-related tasks, such as ordering cards, monitoring activity, and resolving member concerns.
- Support members by answering inbound calls and addressing account-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry and transaction documentation.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and enhance operations. Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in handling cash transactions, deposits, withdrawals, and other banking operations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to address member needs effectively.
- Familiarity with debit card processing and related procedures.
- Knowledge of federal regulations, including OFAC and Anti-Money Laundering compliance.
- Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to balance cash and manage vault teller functions.
- Excellent communication skills for handling inbound calls and member interactions.
