Job Location:
Company Private Banking – 10007OverviewProvide a concierge delivery of financial services through a superior level of hands-on contact for the “BEST” customers of the Bank. These clients are high income earners, or high net worth clients. This is accomplished through customized credit, deposit, investment, insurance, and fiduciary solutions in a team dynamic.
Thiis position may be filled as a Private Banking Relationship Manager I, II or III. Additional responsibilities and qualifcations apply.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinates entire credit approval process, including loan approval within lending authority for consumer and commercial relationships, including partnering with mortgage expert. Seek advice and guidance on complex credit requestsServices a loan portfolio, including credit and collateral exceptions and past duesWork with partners to provide deposit solutions and other retail services to meet the needs of our clientsWork with team to provide non-bank solutions to meet the clients needs: Planning, investments, insurance, and fiduciary servicesCoordinate the development of new private banking business and call on potential or existing customers to develop new business and promote company services and solutions.
Maintain professional community relations, including leadership roles, to increase the bank’s visibility and new business opportunities, and to further professional development.
Provide financial and banking advice and counseling through a team approach to Trustmark’s “BEST” clients.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Cross-train, lead and develop team of associates to promote maximum productivity, engagement, succession planning and overall contribution to strategic organizational goals.

Cross-train, lead and develop team of associates to promote maximum productivity, engagement, succession planning and overall contribution to strategic organizational goals.
Coordinates entire credit approval process, including loan approval within lending authority for consumer and commercial relationships, including partnering with mortgage expert. Provide advice and guidance to subordinate officers on complex credit decisions.
QualificationsFour-year college education or equivalent work experience.5 years banking experience or related work experience to include previous lending experienceKnowledgeable of Private Banking and the bank financial products and servicesKnowledge of deposit and loan products, as well as bank policyKnowledge of document preparation and new accounts systemsKnowledge of negotiable instrumentsComplete understanding of the requirements of properly securing a loanFamiliar with state and federal regulations and bank policies relating to creditKnowledge of sales principlesKnowledge of Basic investment strategies implemented by High net worth clientsKnowledge of Basic estate planning strategies implemented by High net worth clientsKnowledge of Basic insurance strategies implemented by High net worth clientsSuperior judgment in making loan decisionsExperience dealing with sophisticated clienteleExperience in recognizing and handling troubled loans and problem customersThorough knowledge and understanding of loan and deposit debits and creditsStrong analytical abilityAdvanced interpersonal skillsMust possess effective verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to build relationshipsCustomer contact and sales and service skillsAbility to work with othersAbility to lead the work of othersPrefer degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Business, related field or equivalent experienceBank branch work preferredPrevious investment experience with 7, 63 or 66, and insurance licensure preferredAdditional Qualfications for

7 years banking experience or related work experience to include previous lending experienceAdditional Qualifications for
Level III:
Minimum 10 years’ experience managing a Private Banking loan portfolio with a proven track record in sales ability/aptitude and business developmentRequired 7, 63 or 66, and insurance licensure.
Previous investment or trust experience while not required is considered beneficial.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
