JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY
Private Bankers coordinate the integrated delivery of wealth products and services to high net worth clients for investments, borrowing & liability management, risk management, insurance, estate planning & trust services which are delivered through holistic financial planning. Private Bankers ensure the company’s credit quality standards are met or exceeded and generates new business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and grows a portfolio of important revenue generating client relationshipsDelivers object and sound personal financial planning and advisory concepts to defined Private Wealth Management segmentsGenerate external sales with new clients and screens leads following established policies and procedures to attain new revenue generating relationshipsProvides lending services to Private Wealth Management clients, and is responsible for loan recommendation and structuring negotiations with the borrower and internal officersResponsible for loan structure based on client needs and in accordance with bank policy, then packages and presents loan proposals to appropriate approval authorityGather and analyzes financial statements of prospective borrowers and makes recommendations to Senior Lenders/Credit Concurrence Officers regarding approvalEnsures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy and delivers timely loan closing and funding activitiesNegotiates terms and conditions of loans with clientsMaintains current financial statements on borrowers & guarantors and prepares comprehensive credit filesResponsible for managing risk within the loan and deposit portfolios by closely monitoring delinquencies, overdrafts, documentation and other signs of credit deteriorationActively monitors loan portfolio to ensure credit quality within the current and prospective loan portfolioWorks closely with clients to identify financial needs through the preparation of financial, tax, and estate plans and provide appropriate solutionsAccountable for attainment of goals set forth by management for revenue growth and production on loans, deposits, wealth management fee and financial plansTeams with partners throughout the bank to generate and make referrals to align clients with the appropriate channelProvides ongoing relationship servicing with current customers to maintain goodwill and gain additional businessPromotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to client requirementsMonitors, maintains, and updates sales activity, pipeline and other pertinent information using sales management toolsIs active in community and professional groups as a means of potential customer acquisition

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in business preferred; a combination of education and experience may be considered8 years of experience in related field preferably relationship management experience selling banking productsSeries 7, Series 66 or Series 65 and Series 63, and Life and Health licenses for the state(s) where business is conducted are strongly preferred and will allow for maximum incentive potential.
