Role Summary:
As a Financial Services Representative, within our Wilmington, NC branches, you will provide exceptional service, support, and education while assisting members in determining the best loan, deposit, and electronic services options for their individual needs.
Essential Job Duties
- Maintain appropriate knowledge of core systems and CCUs products and services
- Able to seamlessly transition between assisting members with completing membership and loan applications in-person, over the phone, or electronically
- Gather applicant information, review member loan requests, and analyze credit reports and other financial data
- Make sound lending recommendations through effective interviewing and analysis
- Suggest alternative loan options to members, when appropriate
- Provide exceptional service and education to our members, explaining and promoting beneficial products and services to assist in meeting their vast financial needs
- Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assignedRequired Competencies
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect well with members in person, as well as over the phone
- Highly flexible and able to grasp and disseminate large amounts of information in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence in recommending products and services with the ability to meet appropriate sales and service goalsEducation Requirements
- A bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred, commensurate work experience will also be considered
- A high school diploma or GED is requiredExperience Requirements
- Prior lending and membership experience is requiredCommunication Skills Requirements
- The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions and correspondence
- The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards
- The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations
