  • The Opportunity
  • The Consumer Banking Business Line Risk Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Consumer Banking Business Line Risk team by developing and executing automated, data driven testing and monitoring solutions as well as maintaining reoccurring risk reporting.

This position is responsible for advancing the teams ability to proactively identify, assess and mitigate operational risks through innovative automation strategies and robust data analysis. The position will require the ability to perform in-depth analysis, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Hybrid schedule – Ally work locations are Charlotte NC, Fort Washington PA, Lewisville TX

  • The Work Itself
  • Partner with business stakeholders to intake and translate requirements into automated solutions and analytics.
  • Support the broader Business Line Risk organization in building and maintaining recurring executive level reporting.
  • Design and maintain analytical dashboards using Power BI to support ongoing risk monitoring.
  • Manage and transform datasets using Snowflake, ensuring data quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Support the broader team in scaling repeatable automation procedures for high-impact risk areas.
  • Document processes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through innovation and collaboration.
  • The Skills You Bring
  • 1+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or automation within a risk, compliance, or financial environment required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Strong experience with Power BI or a similar BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and cloud-based data platforms, ideally Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and data storytelling best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple intake requests and deliver timely, high-quality solutions.
  • Ability to build relationships with business partners and technical teams to maintain functional knowledge and context of the data and key metrics
  • Self-starter comfortable with limited direction and open-ended requests
