Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated Member Services Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and financial assistance to our members. This role involves a combination of cross-selling, fraud prevention detection, loan processing, and cash management.

Job Duties:

• Assist members with various financial transactions and inquiries (i.e. deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, etc.).
• Process loan applications and provide information on available financial services.
• Detect and prevent fraudulent activities through vigilant monitoring.
• Perform cash handling duties with accuracy and efficiency, as well as reconciling cash drawer and maintaining cash supply according to policies and procedures.
• Prepare special services and currency transaction reports.
• Cross-sell credit union products and services by answering inquiries; informing members of new services and product promotions and ascertaining members needs.
• Contributes to team effort to accomplish desired results.
• Open new accounts according to Credit Union Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of basic math principles to handle debits and credits effectively.
• Other Duties as Assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Previous experience in financial services is preferred
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to process loans and handle cash transactions proficiently
• Knowledge of fraud prevention techniques is a plus
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
