Work Schedule:

Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity This role is responsible for investigating incidents of suspected employee fraud and violations of policy. This role, within Ally Financials’ Enterprise Fraud, Security & Investigations (EFSI) department, assist in developing and tuning employee monitoring and behavioral detection strategies. At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The Work Itself Provide fraud investigative support for all lines of business. Position is responsible for detecting potential internal financial crimes and other inappropriate employee actions, reviewing current controls, recommending control enhancements, and preparing investigative summaries for EFSI leadership. Develop and tune new and existing Corporate Alerting Strategies and User Behavioral Analytics. Produce regulatory reports for applicable cases in support of SAR reporting to FinCen. Possess a strong working knowledge of a financial Institution line of business operating practices and policies. Develop and maintain working relationships with appropriate industry groups and governmental agencies. Work with LOB representatives to resolve escalated incidents. Utilize sound judgment and knowledge of investigative tools/techniques to establish an investigative plan. Conduct public record and company database searches to gather relevant evidence to support of investigative findings. Analyze data to identify evidence and trends related to fraudulent activity. Maintain current knowledge and awareness of investigative/fraud techniques, privacy laws, bank regulations, investigation and incident handling policy and procedure. The Skills You Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in criminal justice, business administration, security management, or another related field. 1+ year investigation handling experience into incidents that occur in a multi-line financial services company. Candidate would preferably have experience working in a multi-line financial institution and have a strong understanding of financial institution operating practices and policies as well as regulations governing bank activities. Strong data analytics background (Excel preferably) Must have an understanding and commitment of the continuous business improvement process. Excellent organizational, management, and communications skills. Knowledge of risk management and control principles. Individual must possess good written and oral communication skills. Must be fully committed to providing exceptional customer service to business partners and fraud risk leadership. Must be comfortable working in a matrix organization responding to multiple stakeholders. Must possess a strong analytic mindset.
