Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Collector with at least one year of experience in medical collections. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing follow-up activities on unpaid claims, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct follow-up calls to insurance carriers regarding unpaid or underpaid medical claims. Provide and/or request missing or additional information to facilitate claims processing. Accurately document all activities, communications, and findings in the system. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all customer interactions. Ensure accurate and timely data entry. Collaborate with internal departments as needed to resolve claims issues. Prioritize work effectively to meet productivity and quality standards.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical collections or related healthcare billing role. Strong customer service and communication skills. High level of accuracy in data entry and documentation. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience with workers’ compensation claims is a plus. Familiarity with medical billing software and insurance guidelines preferred. #IND123
