As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking experienced Accounts Receivable Representatives to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing insurance payments, denials and accounts receivable balances. You will work with Worker Compensation and Auto insurance payersand patients to ensure that account balances are paid in a timely manner. When necessary, you will resubmit claims and file appeals. You will be expected to identify uncollectible accounts and make recommendations to management. Our AR Denials Specialists are allowed to employ a high degree of independence and autonomy in completing their work. Our AR team participates in regular webinar training opportunities to assist them in keeping in step with industry trends and changes. This is a full-time position in our Stuart office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Requirements:
Background and Experience Demonstrated knowledge and experience in successfully collecting outstanding medical accounts receivables. Demonstrated knowledge and recent experience working with worker compensation and auto insurance claims. Recent experience writing and filing appeals with Medicare and commercial insurance payers. Experience using payer portals to look up claim status. Experience in orthopaedics or other surgical practices is highly desired. Coding experience with knowledge of proper modifier usage is strongly preferred. Understanding of physical and/or occupational therapy claims is highly desired. Knowledge of filing worker compensation and auto insurance claims is highly desired. Skills Current experience with an EMR/PM, especially NextGen, is required. Must be able to understand and interpret an EOB. Solid keyboard skills and experience with Microsoft Office is required. Electronically savvy – file electronic appeals, conduct internet research on outstanding claims, work within multiple computer systems on a daily basis. Must be an analytical thinker and be able to demonstrate solid problem-solving skills. Solid math skills. Outstanding written and verbal communications skills. Must demonstrate a customer-service focused mindset. Reliable, dependable. Must have a good attitude and approach work with a team mindset.
