Key Responsibilities:
Handle complex and high-value claims, including disputed and escalated cases. Conduct thorough investigations of claims, including reviewing documentation, interviewing stakeholders, and analyzing evidence. Evaluate damages and determine appropriate settlements in compliance with policy terms and company guidelines. Act as a resource and mentor to junior claims adjusters, providing guidance and expertise. Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and third parties when necessary. Prepare detailed claim reports and present findings to management. Stay updated on industry trends, legal requirements, and best practices to ensure claims are handled efficiently and accurately. Manage relationships with vendors, appraisers, and legal counsel to facilitate effective claims resolution. Identify and address potential fraud indicators, escalating cases as needed. Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with state regulations and company standards. Hold a valid all lines 6-20 license Negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives, ensuring fair and equitable agreements. Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines while handling claims and interacting with stakeholders. High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, or related field preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering timely and effective resolutions to customer issues. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
