Claims Service Representative 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Saint Petersburg, FL 33716 Higginbotham , a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an immediate opening for a Claims Service Representative in our St. Petersburg, FL office. The Claims Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling phone calls and coordinating communication via email or phone voice mails and relaying them to the appropriate party. The Customer Service Representative performs the administrative functions for the Claims Group. Duties include handling customer service calls as needed and follow administrative workflows for Claims Group support.
Essential Tasks:
Reports to the Claims Operations Manager and/or Team Lead Service in an administrative support capacity Understand claims handling guidelines and workflows. Ability to coordinate and distribute information effectively Communicating with customers by phone; returning voice messages Emailing carriers for follow up and claims status Processing incoming electronic and physical mail with appropriate filing and distribute to appropriate party Performs all other related duties as assigned

1 year of Property and Casualty insurance experience required Carrier, Agency, or Third Party Administrator claims experience is preferred
