Job Description
RSUI is searching for a Claims Assistant to join the Professional Liability unit of our Claims department in Atlanta, Georgia! The Claims Assistant collaborates with other assistants and claims handlers to meet the daily needs of the team, focusing on data entry and administrative tasks in the claim workload. Our ideal candidate will have previous business administrative support experience, with a background in claims or legal administrative work as a plus. They will be skilled multitaskers with an eye for detail, and possess stellar communication skills. Bringing a team-player approach to their work is essential, plus a positive attitude and “entrepreneurial spirit”, where no daily task is too big or too small. Ideal candidates will place high priority on top-notch internal customer service. Responsibilities :
Assists claims handler staff by obtaining information necessary to properly handle claims. Send appropriate notification and documentation to our reinsurers. Send acknowledgement to our agents, brokers and insureds, as required. Maintenance and organization of claims handler imaged files. Complete data entry transactions for claims processing. Various administrative support responsibilities, including processing letters, handling phone calls, and e-mail. May perform other related tasks as assigned, depending on business need.
Qualifications:
4-year degree strongly preferred or equivalent business experience. Previous business administrative support experience strongly preferred; claims or legal administrative support experience is a plus. Good oral and written communication skills required (telephone, e-mail and interpersonal). Decision making, prioritizing, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent attention to detail. Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Superior customer service skills.
