Overview
We are looking for a Claims Service Assistant who will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to facilitate account coordination and efficient claims processing. The Claims Service Assistant will transmit claims documents, form letters, and other administrative documentation to relevant parties, ensuring timely and accurate communication. How you’ll make an impact
What a day will look like
Set up and maintain client files, ensuring compliance with company service standards for claim handling.
Transmit claims documents, form letters, and other administrative documentation to appropriate parties promptly and accurately.
Review and manage email and mail, compose and type routine correspondence, and ensure effective communication with clients and internal teams.
Process and print loss run reports, disseminating reports to the appropriate staff members for review and action.
Create, maintain and run various departmental reports as required, providing insights and updates.
Assist in coordinating claims processes, ensuring timely submission and follow-up on claims.
Accurately enter and update claims information in relevant databases and systems.
Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Computer proficiency with MS Office suite
Ability to learn new systems and tools
Ability to solve problems and think independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to pay attention to detail while working under pressure
Ability to organize, prioritize, monitor and control workflow, with close attention to deadlines

About You
Required
Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred
Two years of experience, preferably in an insurance environment.
