- 5:00pm An Orthopedic practitioner in a local, family owned office is now hiring for someone who is at ease with patients and shows a sincere interest in others.
This role as Insurance Biller will primarily be responsible for working with patients and insurance companies on filing claims, and assisting with co-payment questions. Additionally this role will be cross-trained on other duties in the office to have a better understanding of how the patient experience works. This person will learn to schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, accept payments, answer the telephone, prepare reports and assist with filing claims. Proficiency with the keyboard and basic Windows applications is required.
Primary job duties will include:
Review Insurance Coverage and File claims based on care Investigate Denied Claims Answer all incoming calls (using computer system not handheld phone) Schedule patient appointments for multiple locations Accept payments Prepare reports Assist with medical records filing Skills and qualities needed for this position:
- Background or certification in Medical Billing/Insurance Claims preferred
- Caring and patient personality
- Must have strong computer skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office and know how to use multiple screens
- Effective organizational, time management and planning skills
- Strong interpersonal and verbal skills for communication with others
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
