Job Responsibilities
This position is needed to assist the SIF operations in processing SIF Claims.
Duties:
This position reviews submissions for reimbursement relating to accepted SIF claims from workers compensation carriers or their contracted vendors. By reviewing the SIF file, the newly submitted request for reimbursement and utilizing special medical fee schedule software, the analyst determines the proper reimbursement amount the SIF should remit to the carrier.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and work experience processing worker’s compensation claims. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
A working knowledge of workers compensation claims.
Ability to read and comprehend medical records and complex information.
Ability to complete calculations using software and manual calculator.
Must be able to pay close attention to detail.
Good time management.
Good customer service skills.
Ability and willingness to accept new challenges
Ability to lift 5
- 10 pounds.
