The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with their insurance needs, providing expert guidance on various insurance products, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and the insurance verification process, particularly in managed care settings. Duties Assist clients in selecting appropriate insurance plans based on their needs and eligibility. Conduct thorough insurance verifications to ensure coverage and benefits. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding to assist clients with claims processing. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with medical offices to facilitate smooth communication regarding patient insurance matters. Stay updated on industry trends, changes in regulations, and new insurance products to provide informed recommendations. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or managed care environment is preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using office software and electronic medical record systems.
