This job is mainly for medication prior authorizations. Responsibilities Review and process prior authorization requests for some medical services, ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines. Review and process prior authorization request for all medications. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to gather necessary information for authorization. Maintain accurate records of all authorization requests and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding to ensure proper documentation and justification for requested services. Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve any issues related to authorizations or denials. Skills Strong understanding of medical records management and documentation practices. Experience working in a dental office or medical office environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders effectively. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests simultaneously. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
