REQUIREMENTS
HEALTHCARE
INSURANCE COLLECTOR
- 1+ years of recent healthcare insurance collections experience. Working in insurance / commercial claims collections
- Proficient in Excel
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office efficiently, including Outlook (email and calendar), and Excel is a must
- Must be professional
- Excellent communication
- Knowledge of how to use a phone line system, copier/scanner, fax, and email is a must
RESPONSIBILITIES
HEALTHCARE
INSURANCE COLLECTOR
- Ability to work in an office, in person.
- Collections for multiple clients
- Ability to read an insurance contract and monitor claims accordingly
- Track trending issues
- Work with multiple systems daily
- Review EOB’s to identify payment errors, denials and low reimbursement
- Identify and correct claim errors in a clearing house
- Make phone calls to insurance companies for claim follow up
- Research account receivables for both Medicare and Non-Medicare collections
