POSITION SUMMARY

To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Service and Stewardship by educating and enrolling eligible prospective Medicare beneficiaries into HFHP Medicare products. Responsible for coordinating all Medicare sales activities.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Quality/No Harm:

Knowledgeable of all industry and regulatory changes and the implications they pose to Medicare beneficiaries. Ensure compliance with submission of new enrollment forms to Group Services within three (3) business days after enrollment request is received or accepted. Review incomplete or problem applications and take appropriate corrective action within the three (3) business day turnaround time from the receipt date. Exceptions to be reported to the Director of Medicare Sales. Assist with development and maintenance of department policy and procedures relevant to sales processes. Perform all other duties as assigned to support the general operations and ongoing success of the organization.

Stewardship:

Work as a team member to achieve monthly and annual plan membership goals. Maintain a 90% or higher, 13 month persistency rate. Ensure all PHI is protected per HIPAA guidelines and department processes.

Customer Experience:

Develop and maintain effective relationships with senior communities, senior associations, employers and individuals. Participate in all company sponsored Health Fairs and events. Coordinate and respond to all sales call tracking inquiries from members Work Experience

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing and/or a minimum three years’ experience in a healthcare sales and marketing position with a proven record of accomplishment. Valid Florida health insurance license required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire Must manage and complete all required certifications based on each line of business (ex., AHIP, FFM, Continuing Education requirements). Valid Florida Driver’s License. Knowledge of Medicare coverage and the Managed Care industry. College level business courses and/or a minimum of two (2) years of experience with healthcare business office or an insurance company relating to enrollment or membership experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to work night and weekend functions and appointments as needed. Must be able to commute throughout the entire service area. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to work extended hours as needed.

Ability to work with difficult people and keep a professional attitude. Ability to present information and educate potential clients in a clear manner. Ability work well under stress. Ability to listen carefully. Ability to work and maintain composure in an often stressful and fast paced environment. Ability to respond to requests in a timely manner. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Ability handle large volume of work within set time schedules. Ability to handle service issues via telephone or walk-in. Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and organizational issues. Ability to handle angry and distraught members via telephone or in person. Ability to apply critical thinking skills. Must be flexible.
