$63.3K – $92.2K a year 5 days ago Qualifications Sales Driver’s License Organizational skills Life & Health Insurance License Communication skills Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description An Independent Agent shall: Identify, contact, and qualify prospective clients and explain features and benefits of policies offered. Recommend amount and type of coverage based on needs analysis. Calculate and quote premium rates for recommended policies. Agent’s minimum weekly sales target is $1,250.00 annual premium. Maintain weekly APP log. Submit weekly sales and collections report. Collect premiums from policyholders. Two bank deposits per week are required. Agent must keep records of bank deposits. Must deliver new policies and return signed policyholder receipt to the office. Provide policyholders with forms needed to file an insurance claim in the event of a loss. Must deliver benefit checks to the policyholder and return signed policyholder receipt to the office. Service policyholders by explaining policy(s), suggesting additions or changes in insurance coverage and provide forms to be completed for policy changes. Visit established clients and perform a preferred policyholder review of their coverage every 6 months. Seek out new clients by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients. Dress professionally when representing the Company. Build and promote strong customer centric relationships by effective communication and understanding customer needs. The Agent’s contact at the Company shall be the Sales Manager. Independent Agent:

the individual must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, state required automobile insurance, and the ability to drive an automobile. Ability to obtain a limited life health and accident license in Louisiana. Ability to obtain a full life and health license within 90 days of contracting. Sales experience preferred, but not required.
