9 primary functions: The Member Insurance Advisor – Property & Casualty is responsible for providing personalized insurance solutions for Skyla Credit Union members by quoting, issuing, and servicing property and casualty policies. This role focuses on building long-term member relationships through expert guidance, proactive service, and a deep understanding of both insurance offerings and credit union products.
responsibilities:
Provide accurate and timely quotes for new business and issue policies for property and casualty coverage. Maintain high member retention through excellent service and proactive policy reviews. Actively contact members from provided leads to gather necessary information for insurance quotes. Uncover additional member needs and recommend additional policies and coverage to existing monoline clients. Manage policy renewals, including re-shopping policies with alternate carriers when appropriate. Serve as a resource for members by resolving service issues and answering insurance-related inquiries. Request and follow up on member referrals to support business development goals. Meet or exceed established sales and service goals; maintain accurate daily activity records. Utilize the Agency Management System (QQ Catalyst), PL Rater, and carrier websites for quoting, servicing, and documentation. Ensure consistent, high-quality member service aligned with the credit union’s values and service standards. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, policy quotes, referrals, and service interactions; regularly report progress toward individual and team goals to management. Provide feedback on quoting processes, member pain points, and system improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Maintain a strong working knowledge of credit union products and services and actively refer members to branch teams or online platforms based on their financial needs. Assist department leadership in collaborating with the marketing team to support campaigns and promotions related to insurance products and member outreach. Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations, carrier products, and competitive offerings to ensure accurate and current advice for members. Identify and escalate potential compliance, risk, or fraud issues related to insurance interactions, ensuring timely resolution and reporting. Comply with all Federal regulations, Credit Union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act. Perform job duties in accordance with the Credit Union’s values, mission and vision. Performs other duties as assigned.
minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience 2 years of experience in selling property and casualty insurance products Active North Carolina Property and Casualty Insurance License Professional verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a desire to interact with members. Proven track record in achieving sales goals and generating new business Ability to manage time effectively in a performance driven environment Positive attitude, self motivated and results oriented. Must be proficient in the Microsoft suite of products and have a familiarity with insurance agency management systems
