Member FDIC | Equal Housing Lender” Position summary: Responsible for performing Underwriting and Operational duties to support the Merit Business Funding division ; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for this position; supporting Underwriting and Diligence functions. Reporting pertinent information to appropriate leadership; responding to inquiries or requests for information. Taking on additional tasks and responsibilities as warranted, including risk assessment, Underwriting and Diligence.
Qualifications required:
Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.) High degree of attention to detail and ability to multitask Experienced with Core, Enterprise, or CRM systems Proficient in Word and Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize and multitask Positive attitude Strong work ethic Financial background a plus Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or math-related field is a plus Essential functions and responsibilities: Develop proficiency with Data Entry tasks, such as keying relevant information into the database, and scanning submission and sales documents Reviews and evaluates presented information, including review of bank statements, credit report, datamerch and court check to assess the risk and calculate the best offer Completes background verification via CLEAR for both personal and business Assist with building Sizing Calculators to assess liquidity Communicates approval or decline of risk to MEF Director Underwriting Manage information and document flow, including sending and retrieving sales agreements and gathering relevant documentation to expedite Fundings OFAC monthly checks Demonstrate and promote
