What you will be doing:

Assist in the development of programs, coverages, rates, and forms for the commercial residential property product, working cross-departmentally throughout the organization. Solicit, underwrite, and price new and renewal commercial residential property business. Provide superior underwriting and client services to brokers, agents, and other company affiliates. Review technical inspections, appraisals, and other data relevant to the risk profile, analyzing for risk appetite, profitability, and overall portfolio characteristics to ensure a financially sound product. Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, correspondence, and other relevant documentation. Serve as the company representative to commercial brokers and agents, fostering relationships with new partners and identifying new business opportunities. Work with external partners, identify trends and recommend appropriate underwriting, pricing, and product action to the leadership team. Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting commercial insurance underwriting. Serve as a subject matter expert on commercial residential property and assist with training as needed. Perform other duties, as assigned.

What you already have:

Education, Experience, and Licensing:

Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma and equivalent relevant work experience required. 3+ years’ experience in Commercial Residential Property Insurance experience Active Florida 2-20 General Lines Insurance License required. Professional Insurance Designations such as CPCU, CIC, AAI, desired.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Expert knowledge of commercial lines products and underwriting processes and risk management techniques. Strong knowledge of insurance and reinsurance structure. Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible; adjusting to new requirements or unforeseen issues. Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with team members across departments. Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Desire to live Slide’s Core Values.
