position overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented MCA Underwriter to evaluate funding applications, assess risk, and make informed credit decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MCA or alternative lending, with the ability to analyze bank statements, credit reports, and merchant cash flow trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze merchant applications, bank statements, and credit reports. Calculate affordability and determine fundability based on cash flow analysis. Identify red flags such as NSFs, negative days, excessive chargebacks, or loan stacking. Collaborate with the collections and legal teams when evaluating high-risk merchants. Maintain compliance with internal policies and industry regulations. Help improve underwriting procedures and assist in training junior underwriters as needed.

Qualifications:

2+ years of MCA underwriting experience required. Strong financial analysis and risk assessment skills. Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting business bank statements. Familiarity with credit reporting systems and fraud detection practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
