Indirect Underwriters perform the following functions: Assist with the operation of Dealer Direct Underwriting indirect loan products and auto purchases for the Credit Union Analyze credit applications electronically with credit reports, determine ratios with speed and accuracy Assist with the lending practices of all credit union staff Assist dealers, staff, and members with questions, problems, payoffs, and other issues Maintain and improve existing dealer relationships Exercise sound judgment and discretion while remaining compliant with well
- defined limits and guidelines following procedures including state and federal laws Deliver problem solving solutions and perform research as needed Provide technical solutions in support of MIDFLORIDA’s electronic services.
Accountable for meeting productivity and quality while maintaining low delinquency in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Professional and efficient communications with all departments promoting synergy. Assist funding with contracts and dealer representatives with their perspective dealerships Exhibit a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism always. Exude a positive and professional attitude with members and dealers consistently. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
2 years of experience with indirect underwriting with a strong knowledge of the auto lending market or comparable experience Excellent service, communication, high function multitasking and organizational skills Working knowledge with Word and Excel A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred but not required Must be able to work rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
