  • The ABL Structuring team structures, underwrites and closes asset-based lending transactions. Requires in depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to obtain Truist’s balance sheet commitment as well as supporting distribution risk decisions.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Drive in depth qualitative and quantitative analysis culminating in structures that balance client needs with risk appetite; identify, quantify, prioritize and mitigate transaction risks. 2. Individually structure, underwrite, negotiate and close ABL transactions. 3. Negotiate legal documents. 4. Comply with risk policies and procedures. 5. Work with originations, portfolio management, legal, compliance and risk partners to facilitate seamless execution. 6. Mentor, coach and develop junior talent. 7. ABL Structuring Team Lead:

_ 1. Manage and develop a team of underwriters, associates and analysts in the structuring, underwriting, negotiation and closing of ABL transactions. Closely monitor the team’s complex transactions. Review underwriting memos for quality and accuracy prior to delivery to ABL Risk; ensuring investment thesis are well-articulated, risks are properly mitigated, adherence to internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements. 2. Communicate and oversee compliance with risk policies and procedures. 3. Attract, retain and develop a team of top credit professionals.

Licenses:

Series 79 or 63 3. 15+ years of related work experience 4. Extensive subject matter expertise including advanced understanding of industry drivers, product positioning, structuring and risk mitigation strategies. 5. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across functional areas to resolve complex issues. 6. Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork, trust, creativity/innovation and accountability 7. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and insightfully.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1. MBA degree, with a Finance focus 2. Capital markets or other product structuring/underwriting experience
