Day :
This role involves evaluating and underwriting personalized policies tailored to individuals’ unique insurance needs while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This individual will be reviewing and assessing insurance applications , carefully analyzing risk factors to determine appropriate coverage levels , and setting premium rates based on thorough risk assessments . The underwriter will communicate with insurance agents and customers to gather necessary information, ensuring informed decision-making. Within established guidelines, they will make underwriting decisions that balance risk and customer needs. Additionally, they will monitor and manage existing policies , identifying and responding to any changes in risk to maintain policy integrity and compliance.
MUST HAVES
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field Proficiency in underwriting software and tools Should be proficient in Microsoft Office products with the ability to adapt quickly to new software applications and carrier systems. Experience in personal lines underwriting Understanding of underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations Knowledge of reporting that is used in the rating and underwriting processes
Plusses:
A bachelor’s degree in insurance and risk management Relevant certifications (e.g., CPCU, AINS, or CIC)
Compensation:
