Position Overview:

An exciting opportunity is available for an Underwriter II to join the underwriting team. Reporting to the Senior Risk Manager, this role is responsible for performing credit due diligence, financial analysis, and managing documentation and conditions for both new and existing clients. This Underwriter II role focuses on moderately complex credit structures within asset-based and floor plan lending, helping assess and mitigate risk, and ensure strong portfolio performance. Underwriter II:

Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for new dealer and distributor credit files, including financial analysis, credit line recommendations, and required documentation review. Structure complex transactions and negotiate credit documentation to appropriately mitigate risk, particularly within asset-backed and floor plan lending models. Complete annual reviews of existing clients, analyzing operational performance and financials to recommend credit terms, conditions, and required collateral. Communicate effectively with sales teams, financial services, and external clients to align on documentation needs, credit terms, and risk factors. Monitor an assigned portfolio of dealer accounts, evaluating changes in ownership, collateral structure, or business operations to recommend go-forward security requirements. Perform special reviews related to overlines, temporary or permanent credit increases, new product additions, and high-risk monitoring. Prepare and present credit packages and financial summaries to internal stakeholders and executive decision-makers. Contribute to various projects and assignments that support credit risk management, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Required Experience/Skills for the

Underwriter II:

2+ years of experience in commercial lending, underwriting, or financial analysis, preferably within an asset-based or floor plan lending environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial statements, identify trends, and make informed credit decisions. Proven experience in managing multiple credit files and assessing dealer performance and collateral quality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations. Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Familiarity with regulated financial services and audit processes. Experience with credit tracking tools, workflow processes, or compliance monitoring systems. Minimal travel required. Preferred Experience/Skills for the

Underwriter II:

Experience supporting asset-based lending or floor plan financing clients. Knowledge of industry-specific credit risk factors related to inventory-backed lending. Comfort working in a high-volume, regulated environment.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred).
