Senior Complex Casualty Underwriter Chubb is currently seeking askilled Commercial Lines Senior Complex Casualty Underwriter tojoin its commercial insurance team.

Primary responsibilitiesinclude:

Drive financial performance of a commercial book ofcomplex casualty business Underwrite and negotiate renewals forvarious size customers. Meet or exceed financial goals includingrate, growth, profit, retention, and new business Predominatelyresponsible for account solicitation, risk selection and analysis,pricing and sales of core commercial products and services for newand existing customers Participate in cross-sell initiatives withinCommercial Insurance to expand product offerings to current clientsMeet with new and renewal customers and agents/brokers to negotiatecoverage, price, financial terms and service delivery Buildrelationship with agents/brokers to meet or exceed financial goalsand create effective business plans for assigned agents/brokers andterritory Work collaboratively and effectively with a team ofunderwriters, underwriting associates, customer servicerepresentatives, claims examiners, and loss control representativesUtilize agency travel and Salesforce to build a robust prospectpipeline. Candidate will have experience in complex casualtyunderwriting including knowledge of combined generalliability/pollution forms, OCIPs, retentions and deductibleprograms. Focus is on GL, Pollution and Umbrella however we arefinding more opportunities to cross-sell WC and Auto. Targetedcustomers include chemical, plastic manufacturing, metalworkers,and other heavier manufacturing risks. Strong sales and marketingskills are critical; able to position accounts and close deals.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate success in marketing,producer management, new business development, and the ability tosuccessfully negotiate on all levels with both internal andexternal partners. Teamwork, communication, and negotiation skillsrequired. Candidate will need a solid background in risk analysisand experience with complex accounts. Candidate must possess a highdegree of proficiency with the underwriting process and partnereffectively with an Underwriting Associate. Candidate must haveexemplary ability to effectively interact with all levels ofcustomers and coworkers. Knowledge and proficiency with technicalissues, compliance, coverage, products and pricing strategiesexpected. Candidate must have the ability to be creative andadaptable in a changing business environment. A strong casualtybackground is preferred. Travel/marketing to agents, brokers, andcustomers required

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree orequivalent experience Minimum 3 years of casualty underwritingexperience The pay range for the role is $87,500 to $155,000. Thespecific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and otherfactors. This role may also be eligible to participate in adiscretionary annual incentive program.
