You’ll be responsible for identifying funding risks, calculating cash flow and affordability, and flagging potential fraud or stacking behavior. Responsibilities Analyze daily bank statements, credit card processing statements, and business financials Calculate average daily balances, NSFs, deposits, negative days, and chargebacks Determine eligibility for funding based on internal risk models and funding guidelines Identify stacking behavior, overdrafts, and inconsistencies in documentation Prepare and package underwriting summaries for senior approval Communicate with brokers and internal reps for clarifications and missing documents Assist with contract generation, stip collection, and final deal packaging Maintain underwriting pipeline in CRM and update deal statuses in real time Follow up on login verifications and merchant communications during the approval process Requirements 6+ months experience in MCA underwriting or processing Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Fast learner with ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment Comfortable with Google Sheets/Excel (calculations, formulas, etc.) Familiarity with MCA terminology (NSFs, stacking, ACH, renewals, buy rate) Excellent communication and organization skills Must be local to NYC area – in-office role Bonus Points Experience with CRM platforms like Orgmeter, Datamerch, or Heron Data Understanding of ISO submission flow and funding process Basic fraud detection skills (duplicate docs, login mismatches, manipulated statements)
