Job Description

Capstone Logistics is a 3rd party logistics provider in a variety of industry verticals including retail, grocery and foodservice distribution. We provide logistical support to customers in over 600+ DC’s in 48 states throughout the US. We have a proven record of accomplishment of growth and an excellent reputation throughout our industry. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Equipment Asset Manager to assess all aspects of equipment inventory, procurement, maintenance, and compliance. This role will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient equipment management while optimizing costs, safety, and performance. The ideal candidate will be proactive in maintaining records, ensuring compliance, and collaborating cross-functionally to support operational needs. This role is crucial in ensuring that our equipment operations run efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, supporting the overall success of our business.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the equipment asset program. Oversee vendor and contractor relationships related to equipment servicing and repairs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities:

Maintain and update equipment inventory records, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage records, licenses, inspections, warranties, and service agreements. Track equipment performance, ensuring optimal usage and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Procure new equipment and supplies while managing costs through product standardization where possible. Ensure compliance with lease agreements and operational requirements. Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient equipment operation and maintenance. Conduct routine inspections to verify safety, functionality, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and replacements. Provide strategic input for capital expenditures related to equipment acquisition and deployment. Develop and manage budgets for equipment, procurement and maintenance. •Performs Additional Responsibilities As Assigned•

QUALIFICATIONS

education and/or experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 5+ years of experience in equipment management, procurement, or maintenance operations. Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management. Proven experience in developing and implementing equipment policies and procedures. knowledge, skills and abilities: Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally. Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software. Ability to lift heavy objects and conduct on-site inspections as needed. Willingness to travel to various site locations.
